The Right Diet For Baby Boomers (Or Anyone Else Who Wants to Be Healthy)

Jun 08, 2021

Losing weight is not always easy.

If you want to lose weight and get healthy, you’ll have to get rid of the habits that are the cause of most problems.

A good start is to reduce or better yet, eliminate processed foods from your diet.

Processed foods are mainly junk foods.

  • Hot dogs
  • Ham
  • Sausages
  • Corned beef
  • Beef jerky
  • Canned meat
  • Meat-based preparations and sauces
  • Lunchmeat
  • Potato chips
  • Veggie chips
  • Cookies
  • Pastries

Dairy foods

Contrary to popular belief, milk does not build strong bones.

Did you know consuming too much dairy can excrete calcium from your bones instead of adding it?

Dairy contains hormones, estrogen, cholesterol, and sodium that are associated with cancer and heart disease.

Dairy is not a weight-loss food – a piece of cheese is 75% fat.

Reduce fat; eliminate oils

Oils of all kinds (yes, even olive oil) are fattening.

At 120 calories and 14 grams of fat per teaspoon, this so-called health food should not be part of any weight-loss strategy.

Dr. John McDougall has a saying – “the fat you eat, is the fat you wear.”

Too much fat can lead to heart disease and Type 2 diabetes.

Whole foods

Eat mostly whole, natural foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes.

By far, these are the healthiest foods you can consume.

They are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals that ward off and reverse common diseases.

These foods have a low-calorie density that melts away unwanted pounds and fat.

Increase fiber consumption

If you are like most people in America, chances are you are not getting enough fiber in your diet.

  • Fiber helps the absorption of vitamins and minerals
  • Can lower cholesterol
  • Promote weight loss
  • Best of all, it can end constipation.

Develop these lifestyle habits

  • Drink plenty of clean water every day to avoid dehydration.
  • Start your day with an excellent breakfast.
  • Be sure to read food labels carefully.
  • Get moving and exercise.
  • Get a good night’s sleep to give your body a chance to repair itself

Does all of this seem too hard to do?

Does the very thought of giving up hot dogs, cheese, or ice cream seem impossible?

You are reading this because you are concerned about your weight and health.

The truth is, these foods and bad habits are the cause of your problems.

When you get rid of the cause, you get rid of the problem.

7 billion people are living on the planet and many of them have much lower rates of heart disease, diabetes, cancer arthritis, obesity, and other degenerative conditions than people in Westernized countries do

The reason?

Their diets and lifestyles are different than ours!

You have nothing to lose but those unwelcome pounds.
